Appearance: Dense Black, with a light tan head.

Smell: Sweet Malts (akin to a bourbon biscuit), soft smoke, medium-dark roasted coffee beans, a hint of hemp, a finish of citrus oil.

Taste: rich chocolate and roasted caramel and sweet sourdough breads with dried peel notes complimenting the floral hop bitterness. A satisfyingly Dry finish.

Whilst lighter in weight and crisper finish than stout, this beer still carries warm caramel and molasses notes which match beautifully with fruit puddings, a good cheeseboard or an even better stew or indeed all three in the one meal…
